Apple Watch Location Not Updating
I purchased my son an apple watch SE (and a data plan from Verizon) so we had the ability to locate him, if needed, as he walked home from school each day. His watch is fully charged when he leaves the house, yet the location almost never updates. It only updates if he texts/calls while on his way to or from school, otherwise it doesn't update the location. I'm not trying to track his every whereabouts, but this thing doesn't work at all and seems like a complete waste of money, when other (cheaper) alternatives exist that provide this same service.
I live in a very highly populated area with great cell coverage, so that isn't the issue, this thing just doesn't update unless you manually do something to make it update, which seems to defeat the whole purpose because that manual update is the same as texting your location.
