Mirroring Ipad Pro with USB C to HDMI adaptor

I have tried multiple screens and cables but none of them can extract a video signal from the Ipad. All combinations of screens and cables work with every other device so I am confident that the peripherals are in good order.

The product spec confirmed that the 5th Generation Ipad I have can output video via the USB point.

Any ideas?

A fifth generation iPad Pro differs significantly from an iPad5. Your iPad Pro does not have a Lightning Port.

The fifth generation iPad Pro has a USB-C port - to which you can connect a suitable USB-C to HDMI Adapter, or connect directly via USB-C to a monitor that supports either DP Alt Mode over USB-C, or a Thunderbolt 3 video connection.

An iPad5 has a Lightning port. An iPad with a Lightning port requires either a Lightning to HDMI or Lightning to VGA video adapter with which to connect the iPad to an external monitor. Connecting a Lightning to USB Adapter alone will not output video from a iPad with a Lightning connector.

By contrast, an iPad Air5 has a USB-C port that supports DP/HDMI Alt Mode over USB-C - whereas some models of iPad Pro also natively support video over Thunderbolt 3.
