HDMI Adapter Mirroring

Has anyone developed any workarounds for mirroring content from iPad to TV with HDMI adapter?

As iPad natively supports mirroring to a TV/monitor using HDMI or VGA, no “workaround” should be necessary. You simply require a suitable HDMI adapter for your iPad model. Assuming that your iPad has a Lightning connector:

  • Lightning Digital AV Adapter

Alternatively, for an iPad with a USB-C port:

  • USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter

I’m currently using a iPad (6th gen) with IOS 16.4.1 with a genuine HDMI to lightning adapter. I’ve used this setup for at least 5 years beginning with an older iPad to stream YouTube TV and Netflix on TV’s while traveling outside the US. I can stream both apps without issue on the iPad and if I keep it on a minimized screen it works for awhile but as soon as I hit the full screen icon the TV either goes black with the sound running in the background or will work for a short period of time before freezing up. I use a VPN and geo location for my home address to insure it still shows I’m at home. Both apps work as they should on the iPad until I attempt the mirroring. Research on this forum indicates there’s an issue with the newer IOS updates on mirroring. I’ve tried different HDMI cables on two different TV’s with same result.
