How do i copy a table from Numbers into Pages (14)?

I can't copy tables from numbers (14.1) into pages (14.0) anymore and none of the previous workarounds I found on here (the forum) are working. Does anyone know of a solution?

Update your Pages to v14.1 so that it is version compatible with Keynote v14.1.

You select the table rows and columns that you need in Numbers and copy to the clipboard. Keep in mind that Pages is set up to only do about five columns and will automatically narrow the columns as more columns are added. That means if you have a ten-column Numbers table, it will be useless in Pages as the columns will be too narrow to be meaningful.

Back in Pages, you insert your table and click once to select the first cell (e.g. A1) and paste. Pages will then automatically adapt the table to the content pasted from the Numbers clipboard content. In the following animation, I select the Numbers table content and copy it to the clipboard. Then I single-click the first cell in Pages v14.1 on macOS Sonoma 14.6.1 and simply paste.

Tested: Keynote v14.1, Pages v14.1, macOS Sonoma 14.6.1. This procedure has, however, worked over several major releases of macOS and older Pages versions.
