Your question is not easy to answer however, as we know so little about the situation:

You could try going to settings. Find Email Accounts and add that account back again.

Else more info would help:

What happened to the email account, so that it needs to be recovered. (deleted / error message / forgot password / or ?)

and

do you log-in and use the account on the eMail provider's website (eg: Yahoo / GMail etc.),

or

are you using Apple's "Mail" app, or another third-party (non-Apple) app for eMail.

For accurate info:

Which device model are you using for eMail and which iOS, iPadOS, or MacOS version is installed.

Keeping your OS up-to-date (and making a back-up beforehand), is always a wise move.

(Settings > General > Software Updates)
