All words are highlighted as misspelled in Pages and Numbers yet the correct dictionary has been selected in Settings

Recently all text I type in Pages, Numbers and Keynote are highlighted as misspelled. It happens on my iPad and my iMac. The keyboard dictionary is set to UK English on every device. The Region is set to UK yet no matter what I type it is underlined as misspelled. When I highlight the misspelled word I am offered the chance to “Learn Spelling” but I am offered alternative spelling in a different language. I am guessing the alternative language is Spanish but I am not 100% sure.

Hi Tom,

I had already done that before posting. The only keyboard I have is British. I have tried Automatic - British for the Hardware Keyboard and then I tried British. Same result I am afraid. In the Keyboards settings I have English (UK) as the only keyboard.

Go to settings > general > keyboard > keyboards and remove anything from the list which is not English.

The hardware setting should not matter, only the language in settings > general > keyboard > keyboards. Very odd that is not governing what happens in Pages....
