Yeah so basically i ordered the new macbook air 2024 13 inch with some changes like 16gb ram etc, and it said if you have custom attachments it will take longer but its progressing the order for 2 DAYS and the expected delivery date is 20-22 August while the average delivery date is 3 days after you order the item so why does it take so long?

Apple computers are custom built. "In Progress" will change to "Shipped" once the computer is manufactured and sent to shipping. You will receive the computer on the date you were advised.

I ordered a MacBook Pro on Saturday. My arrival date is August 26th. I almost ordered the computer about a week earlier, and the delivery would have been much faster. It all depends on supplies of components, weather in certain parts of the world, all sorts of things.
No one hee in this user-to-user forum can give you any more information. You'll need to contact Apple directly.
It's not always possible to go into the store and buy the model you want. Some of them must be ordered.
Ordered mine Aug 8th been sitting in customs since 12th was supposed to be delivered yesterday according to ups. Sat at home waiting for nothing. Now has no date ups couldn’t give me an update and apple says they can’t do anything. If I’d of know. It wouldn’t be here in two weeks I’d of just went and got one at the store. They said it was in stock for online orders. So here I am going on week three soon with no idea of when it’s coming and it’s sitting in customs in Kentucky
Ahh ok thank you very much!!! I am new to apple and was kinda worried that there was something wrong but now i know its because of the custom built i chose!
