Display not recognized - iPhone 12 Mini

I have replaced the whole housing, transferring logic board, both cameras, whole display and battery to the new housing (original housing was badly scratched and rear glass smashed, but the phone was working perfectly fine with no single issue).

After housing replacement, iPhone says "Display not recognized". Main question: WHY? The screen is the genuine Apple part coming from that phone, factory paired to the logic board. And some supporting question I would like Apple representatives to answer as well: what actually did Apple do in their software to make such things happen? I appreciate the detailed answer (can be pure technical).

Oh, okay. 100% of modern iPhones after screen swapping act like that so it seems 100% of them are faulty? I've recently purchased two brand new identical iPhones from Apple Store just to make that test. Opened them, swapped the screens between them and all of a sudden both say "Display not recognized". Swapped screens back - no changes although they have been given the paired screens. I was the registered IPR and have over 15 years experience in repairing Apple stuff so nothing related to physical damage to the screen.

By the way, I know that this notification will disappear after 30 days so why do you try to convince me to trash the phone and buy the new one if it works perfectly fine even with this notification? Is this the part of Apple's policy to reduce the electronics waste, or what?

I agree 100%. Just had to have my screen replaced since I couldn't unlock via touch, and it was showing inverse colors, lines, etc. So I took it to a respected repair place and they replaced the screen and it works great. Why the "Display Not Recognized" notification that I can't seem to get rid of (Settings shows a "1" in a red circle that won't go away now) if everything works fine? Frustrating. Oh and by the way, I live in Auckland, New Zealand, where there are (still!!!) no Apple Stores but there are Licensed Apple dealers. Am I supposed to fly to Australia to get to an Apple Store there?

I changed the display with combatanle screen and downloaded patch 18 after that I received a message to restart and finish repair but when I restart it doesn’t work

Nope. You borked the replacement and used unapproved parts.

If you were an actual authorized service provider you would be taking this up directly with Apple. The fact that you’re posting this here is a clear indication you’re not. You don’t have legitimate access to the parts or tools necessary to do the repair.

Bummer. Your phone is unsupportable here and Apple won’t touch it now that it’s been tampered with.

Buy a new phone and toss that one in the recycle bin.

Apple didn't do anything to make such things happen, you physically damaged something when you operated on your phone.

This is why it is best to let a trained Apple employee or authorized service center work on your phone.

That's too bad. But we can't help you. Apple won't help you either. There is no such thing as a compatible screen. There are Authentic Apple Screens, which can ONLY be installed on your iPhone at Apple directly or an Apple Authorized Service Provider. Buying a screen from anywhere else is NOT Authentic. And I get the impression you did this replacement yourself, which was an unfortunate decision. You could take the phone to some iFixit type service in your town and hope they can fix the mess you created. Or you can recycle the phone responsibly and buy a new one is really the only advice we can offer.
