How to cancel Apple One subscription while keeping my husband's music playlist intact?

I have an Apple one family subscription that I want to cancel. My husband is part of my family subscription and what we need is an individual Apple Music subscription for him without losing his music/playlists. I no longer require an apple subscription. Is that possible and if so how do we do it?

Yes, the Family subscription of Apple One does put a twist into cancelling and allowing a family member to keep a subscription. While cancelling Apple One and keeping any service is straight forward, there is no guidance for the scenario that you have described. Things get tricky with Apple Music whenever there is a disruption in billing, as that would cause all of his playlists to be removed. In my opinion, I would contact Apple directly.

Hi Mac Jim ID - thank you for your reply, however, I am not sure this will work for me - I probably didn't explain well enough :)

I have an apple 1 family subscription - this is in my name but my husband is a 'family member'

I want to cancel the entire apple 1 subscription, however, I want my husband to sign up to apple music individual plan and keep his music is in the family apple 1 plan. Is this possible? If I cancel the apple 1 subscription - what happens to the music library and playlists? Also, music we own / uploaded ... is there a way to download this so we don't lose it?

Thank you :)
