Edit RAW images on iPhone

When I import images directly from my SD card to my iPhone, the images indicates [JPEG+RAW]. However, when I attempt to edit the image, the editor in Photos only treats the image as a JPEG.

Is there a setting somewhere to edit RAW images in Photos?

If not, are there other tools to edit RAW photos that don't require a subscription?

RAW FORMATS PROBLEM I can't open the RAW files from my IPhone 14 pro max in Affinity photo2 app. Anytime I do it the file format changes to JPEG format, consequently instead of opening in develop persona which is for RAW files processing it opens in photo persona as jpeg. I have already set the RAW files on camera setting. the interesting thing is that these files shows as a RAW files in photo app both on my IPhone and iMac desktop. RAW photos not showing up as RAW in files This has been a huge problem with me and this iPhone. Photos that I take with RAW mode on will show up in the photos app as RAW. I can see the large file size, it says RAW in the top left corner, and file type says RAW as well. When I go to import it to Lightroom, it shows that it’s a JPEG file. At first I thought it was Lightroom, but when I save the photo to my Files app to transfer to my iPad, it saves it to the Files app as JPEG as well! The iPhone is the only device that I’ve had this issue on. My iPad works fine with Lightroom and Files with RAW photos. It used to work fine on my iPhone but I’m not sure what started this issue. Please help! It’s annoying that I can’t use the cameras on this phone for anything!

RAW files in IOs 16? When I take pictures using RAW I cannot transfer them in as raw files, they are getting converted to jpegs. I want to only use RAW. Anyone else having problems with their RAW files on an iPhone 14 Pro with IOs16?

Apple iPhone raw support is pretty light weight - mainly for viewing - and does not allow for editing.
