poor battery life iPadOS 17.5.1

In the last few days, the battery in my iPad Air three will discharged when not in use in less than 24 hours. I am assuming the battery is approaching the end of its life. Can anyone confirm this or suggest something that I should check? I’ve looked at the battery settings and see a slow steady decline in 24 hours. It went for 100% to about 7% in 20 hours.

You might be best advised to seek assistance directly from Apple Support - and request a remote battery diagnostic.
