On my iPad, I would be drawing in iBisPaint X and watching a youtube video on the side using pip. The video pauses and I then hear beeping, I check it out and it says “Scanning your device” in the media player. This happened today and yesterday, while yesterday repeating the beeps more. I’ve looked around but never found this answer and it also happens on iPhone as well. Any answer would be great.

I did some digging, and watching- for some ads popping up in their banner form above as I worked on ibis, as it is happening while I use ibis too.
This is 99% caused by a McAfree ad on ibispaint. I watched as the banner popped up, saying my trial had expired for mcafree. Then I got the media player ‘scanning’ popup and the blaring alarm (which, by the way, sent my sensory issues into overdrive and caused me to have a panic attack!)
bottom line- scammy ads are causing this. In our case, scammy ads on ibispaint. I emailed the devs about this asking them to take the ad down, you should too- so it goes away!

Yes, it is a scammy ad- specifically
a mcafree one. I’m on ibispaint x too, I watched as it told me in banner form that my trial had run out, then the media player and the blaring alarm started.
That scam message is usually presented as an ad by a less than honest developer. It is most likely being generated by a recently downloaded app (possibly a game).
