iMovie 10.4.1 on my MacBook Pro running Monterey doesn't have sound

I use iMovie a lot to edit my videos from my camcorder for content creation. I've been using iMovie for a few years now and only recently when my MacBook auto-updated iMovie from 10.4 to 10.4.1 then I started having no audio on my videos or sometimes the audio will cut in and out in long durations on new and old imported videos with no waveforms shown. I tested imported videos on an older iMovie version I have from my previous MacBook Air 2015 on MacOS Monterrey and it still has audio like normal with no issues. My camera is a Sony HDR CX405 which does have iMovie support. It was only when I got 10.4.1 that I started having the audio issue. I do not know if there's a way to fix this or if this is inherently an issue from 10.4.1 or something else because the audio format is AAC which is supported by iMovie and had been working for years and again my camera was made to be compatible with iMovie. I do not know what to do to fix the almost no audio feedback or if it is even possible to revert back to 10.4 being the last version I had no issues with. Never had an issue with iMovie until this update came out.
