Work device and Citrix workspace

Hi all,

I have to use Citrix workplace for work and am trying to decide what kind of device I should get for work.

I mostly use a software platform and excel for work and need more displays. Trying to decide whether to keep my 3 year old macbook air and buy an ipad to extend the display or whether I should look into other products.

Does anyone use Citrix with only apple products? What issues should I beaware of or does it work pretty seamlessly?
