Movie clips from iPhone turns red when added to iMovie.

Audio is fine but it is stuck on first picture. Can anyone help? I have tried resizing the clip from 1080 to 420 using the drop down button in finder, but that doesn't help.

Hi,

A workaround that has cured the imported red video problem for some users is to select the clip in the time line or browser. Then do a File/Reveal in Finder to reveal it in finder. Control click on the selected clip in finder. You will get a drop down menu. From that menu, select "Encode selected video files". You will get a dialogue box. Change the setting to 720p. Click on "continue". It will then encode and appear in your finder with the same name but as .m4v file with no red. Import the re-encoded vid into your project.

Hope this helps.
