I can’t download apps, not even free ones. Also, everytime I try to add a new payment method, it doesn’t work. “Cannot verify payment information” It stopped working when I had the card as one of my payment methods but I couldn’t buy anything with it. So I decided to try removing it and adding it again, and now I can’t add it at all. Can someone help?

Hi! Can you check if you have a Past Due balance on your Apple ID? You can check this by going into Settings > Apple ID > Media & Purchases > View Account > Purchase History. If you have a past due balance, it prevents you from downloading free apps or buying anything on the App Store. To pay it, you can add money to your account.

Cancelling the subscription does not erase the amount you owe. If a charge to your current payment method has failed, then it is likely no longer a valid payment method and you will have to use another one.
Unless you cancel subscriptions at least 24 hours before their due date they will renew and you have to pay. Plus, canceling a subscription does not negate any money you already owe for it.
Cannot verify payment information means that Apple is asking your card agency if your payment is a valid card. They are getting a negative reply or no reply. Ask your card issuer what the problem is.

I got the free trial then canceled it when I got it(I would still be able to use it but it cancels automatically when it’s supposed to)
