The App Store on my iPhone has disappeared

My App Store is GONE. I’ve tried messing around with parental controls, screen time, and looking in the App Library, but the app simply disappeared. For a separate reason, I have transferred devices and noticed that the App Store is even gone on my new phone. I really need help.

Check Settings ➜ Screen Time ➜ Content and Privacy Restrictions ➜ iTunes & App Store Purchases ➜ Installing Apps and make sure its set to "Allow".

If you have a corporate or school Exchange Email account, it may restrict the App store. You would need to contact the office or school IT department if that is the case.

If it was restricted by Screen Time, then, as has bene mentioned several times in this thread, she needs to go to Settings ➜ Screen Time ➜ Content & Privacy Restrictions ➜ iTunes & App Store Purchases ➜ Installing Apps, and make sure its set to "Allow". It make a few moments to re-appear.

If something else caused it to disappear, then you need to determine what was done before any one can tell you how to reverse it.

What happened to your tablet?

What tablet do you have exactly?

If your App Store is missing, read through the thread you replied to and try the suggestions provided already and see if one works for you.

If those suggestions don't work for you, and you want help, you will need to explain your issue clearly and not be cryptic about it.

From what I’ve noticed, you have to keep the restrictions off. If you turn them back on, even if installing is allowed, App Store would still be gone. It looks like some bug but I guess you can download whatever you want while it is off and it can be turned back on once you’re done installing apps

Try restarting your phone after the restrictions have been turned off and also go to Setting > Screen Time > Share Across Devices, and shut that off. Turn your Content & Privacy Restrictions back on and see if that resolves the problem.

Make sure you have updated to iOS 17.6.1 on all capable devices.

ANSWER:

I had the exact same issue with my daughters phone... the cause? I found that when I access my daughters screentime settings from MY device that they were different than that of hers, So I added the content & privacy settings from MY device instead of directly on her phone... now the app store is back with the correct restrictions

ISSUE: setting incompatibility between adult's settings on adult's device for that family member and the settings on family member's / child's device

@apple -> you might want to look at a patch that updates settings correctly between devices

Didn't work but even if it did, it would defeat the purpose of having parental controls if I have to switch them off...This sucks

Changing the Screen Time restrictions was just to test if there was another issue going on. If you found success with either of those, then a follow up would be possible to resolve the issue.

Since it did not work, then the next step is checking the App Library.

If it is not in the App Library, then confirm if you have updated to iOS 17.6, or what your current OS version is.

Hi! Turning off all content and privacy restrictions did work, making the App Store reappear, but is there no other workaround? I did allow “installing”, but it has always been like this. The issue appeared a few days ago when I started changing some restrictions. What’s the purpose of the restrictions if I can’t keep them on for my child’s account?

No problem! If you are looking for support for your Apple devices, this is the place where you will find the answer. I lost the App Store a month ago but it’s not the only app that’s being deleted off of my phone like games notes fitness, stocks, and much more

Again, the App Store, cannot be deleted off of an iPhone.

If many apps went missing at the same time, sound like you hid a home page with all the apps on it.
