need to wipe iPod classic but don't have iTunes

I have an old iPod from the original design and I want to wipe it so I can sell it. Every piece of information I can find says I have to connect it to iTunes on my computer to do this. However, iTunes is no longer on the mac OS. it's only Music now. So, how can I get access to iTunes as a standalone app to wipe my old iPod? Or is there another method I'm not seeing? thanks!
