Macbook air m3 : Lid opening automatically

its been a week since i bought the macbook air m3 2024. I have noticed after some days the lid opens automatically. Feels like the magnets doesn't have enough power.

When i carry macbook on my hand, facing the lid opening side straight up, the lid opens automatically. What might be the issue?

There is nothing between the top lid and keyboard and i am not using any cases, stickers, decals, keyboard covers, palm rests or "skins" — basically nothing to prevent them from sticking together

some friends are saying , this is normal and it will fix after few month use of this new m3 air laptop ? is that correct ?

appreciate your quick expert answers ?

Have Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider examine the laptop as it may need an adjustment or repair since that is not normal.

You also have 14 days to return the laptop for any reason. If you choose to return the laptop, then make sure you follow the instructions in the following Apple article:

I thought I was pretty clear on the options available in my earlier post to the OP. Since you are past the 14 day return period, you will need to have Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider examine the laptop.
