Major issues with iPhone 17.5.1 update

Since updating to 17.5.1, my messages keeps freezing and crashing. I can’t even access Messages in settings. Now, I can’t use FaceTime and it won’t allow me to access FaceTime settings. I have to constantly restart my phone bc of all the bugs and when I do, my battery life gets drained almost 10% each reboot. Everything is really glitchy and not running smoothly. Issues began morning after my phone automatically updated overnight. It’s a brand new phone. My husband has an older phone and he is having the same issues. What is going on? Has anyone else had these issues?
