siri has suddenly stopped working with whatsapp

I updated WhatsApp yesterday and since then Siri won’t work with it - I get various messages such as ‘sorry there’s something wrong please try again’ etc.

But - Siri still works with everything else on my phone. I contacted WhatsApp support and after a few suggestions (which I’d already tried, like turning phone off and on) they said it’s a fault with my phone?!

Can anyone help? I rely on Siri for WhatsApp so much. Thanks.
