Siri is not working with WhatsApp

Hi there, I rely on using Siri to read my WhatsApp messages and compose them. 

I updated WhatsApp yesterday and since then Siri just won't connect (with the iPhone locked and unlocked) - I get an error message every time such as 'uh oh there's a problem' or 'can't connect try again later'. 

I have just deleted the WhatsApp app from my phone and reinstalled it and it STILL doesn't work with Siri.

Can anyone help, please?
