Updated from iOS 17.4 to iOS 17.5.1 and there’s a severe battery drain. I get 2 hours lesser screen on time with the new update. When having a long day battery life is crucial to me. Anyone experience something similar and what are your options to fix ? I’m considering downgrading to iOS 17.4.

Hi ! Yes , I restarted it a few times since the update. My device is still 2 months old and still have 100% battery health.
Same problem here, iPhone 15 Pro Max, the phone stays hot and drains battery very quickly. Before the update the battery life was wonderful. Must be some bug or memory leak with the update causing the phone to run at high speed all the time. This would only happen with some high powered apps.
Yep I upgraded when it first came out and my battery drains very quickly and all I’m doing is browsing. Got rid of a couple apps that used a lot of battery but it’s made no difference. Dropped about 40% in a couple of hours tonight!!! WHAT is the answer??
Have you restarted the phone since the update? Sometimes a simple restart can solve many issues. It's worth a try...
Same here. Im seriously considering downgrading to 17.5
My iPhone 15 Pro Max with the operating system 17.5.1 drains the battery very quickly, even with Wi-Fi. I hope that Apple will solve this problem by updating the hot phone to some extent. Even on Instagram, the battery drains quickly. I used to have 13 Pro Max, the battery was excellent.. Even if Apple limits the phone, it is better than this battery situation
Downgrading the operating system is not possible.
