M4 iPad Pro 13” Pro Apple Keyboard stops text input but trackpad still works

I have the latest M4 iPad Pro 13” with the Pro Keyboard and twice text input has stopped working. The on screen popup keyboard still works, the trackpad still works, the lock key still works, command-tab still works but anything with text input is totally dead, apps like mail, safari, youtube anywhere I can type the keyboard doesn’t type. The only fix is to reboot the iPad. Removing the iPad and plugging it back into the keyboard doesn’t fix the issue. I’ve found another article written by a user who had a similar issue and the fix was to uninstall facebook messenger. I don’t have facebook messenger.
