Downloading 4K video from iCloud to PC

How can I download the full 4K version of my videos from iCloud.com onto a PC. Previously I have used the “more download options” and selected “unmodified original” to download the full 4K version of video. However now when I try that, only a much lower quality mp4 file will download. The video is recorded in 4K, and the file on iCloud is showing 4K quality. For some reason it’s just not downloading the .mov file like it has in the past.

Please help!

This seems to be a common issue right now (I think it’s been going on for about a week), I have had this issue myself, along with users arossy and kubly_music


iCloud has stopped downloading unmodified… - Apple Community


I haven’t tried it (for some reason I can’t get it to install), but if you can, you can try downloading iCloud for Windows, or if you have access to a Mac, you might be able to get it via the macOS Photos app
