Menu button returns too far after tvOS 17.4 update

A really annoying thing has happened, watching YouTube Subscription videos. I have subscribed to a lot of channels. Trying to scroll down has been an issue for a few months now in fast mode. It seems to scroll real fast, not going all the way through, yet I end up almost where I started. Ive lived with it. But now, something’s happened that that makes navigating to the next video really aggravating.

For example, after scrolling through various subscriptions, and locating a channel, I’ll watch some of a video and decide to go back by hitting the menu button. It doesn’t just go back to the channel, it goes all the way back to “All”. It seems to have happened after the update. Really really cumbersome and time consuming, when one has a lot of channels. Any ideas? How does one determine if this is a YouTube issue or tvOS? Deleting a bunch of channels didn’t help. One thing I noticed, was it didn’t seem to do it after watching “shorts”, but I didn’t make a study of it.
