Macbook air M3 extended display with docking station not working

Hi, I bought the Macbook air M3 2024 and to my surprise, and disappointment, the extended display do not work with Dell docking stations. I have been told by support that maybe there could be other docking stations that could work, I repeat this is very disappointing purchased this mac hoping to have the extended functionality. Any suggestion on how to make the extended functionality work with out having to connect separately the second external monitor into the Mac? Seriously thinking of returning this computer.

Thanks

I have a HP dock that I used for work rated at 280W which is more than enough power to support multiple displays over one Type C port. I've connected the two monitor with HDMI and DisplayPort but one of them duplicates to the other (the laptop screen is closed). To get both displays to be extended, I disconnect one monitor from the docking station and use another type C port with an adapter for the second display. I've also found that you can use two display adapters so each monitor is connected to a type C port on the Mac but then you have to use the MagSafe power adapter.

This is what fixed my issue. You have to get a HDMI or Displayport to thunderbolt cable. Below is the one I ordered off of amazon. You have to look at your dock to see if there is a thunderbolt connection. Right now I have one display connected to my dock using DP and second monitor is DP to Thunderbolt4 from monitor to dock. Then I have a thunderbolt 4 cable from my dock running to my laptop with both displays extended.
