SAVING POWERPOINT SLIDES

When I click "Save" or "Save As" the menu does not respond. I am unable to save my files. I have not noticed it before but is it normal to have "SHARE" on the top right side activated? when I click on it, a drop down menu asks me where to save. If I click on it, the next thing it does is "Uploading" but then I can no longer see the file in the original place I used to save it. when I click on it again, it does not show the saving menu anymore but a sharing menu. What is happening to my Mac?
