Apple Watch battery drains in 2-3 hours after update

My iWatch is running 10.3.1 and has been fantastic UNTILL my iPhone updated two days ago to 17.4.1

Looking into my iWatch stats - Apple ran two reports showing bugs now in my watch dated 4.11.2024.

This was an overnight change once this new update occurred on my iPhone.

Not sure why this is. I have removed most apps from my iWatch and I hope today is a better watch day for I only purchased the iWatch for the medical assist it is for my health status.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you.

Overdue follow up - indeed, unpairing and re-pairing the watch to the iPhone fixed the rapid battery drain. Thanks so much for the suggestion. It is a fairly major thing to do, as it seems to wipe the watch and reload everything from a backup. (Really, REALLY, annoying that a software update created that kind of problem, with NO WARNING.)
