Cannot add card to apple wallet after upgrading and restore phone
Hi there, I’ve been dealing with this issue for more than 2 weeks. Spending almost 5 hours a day for this 2 weeks contacting both apple support and bank.
I’ve recently upgrade my phone from iphone 11 to iphone 13 and restoring it through the built-in features of ios (via wifi). Everything was working great except I was unable to add my debit card to apple wallet. This card works on my iphone 11, but not my iphone 13 (I still have both of my phone)
Some thing I have done during several research on google for this couple weeks:
- Changing my region
- Yes my date and time was correct and checked
- Reset my settings including resetting network setting itself
- Sign out and sign in back of my apple ID
- Add the card through the banking apps
- Turn off and uninstall all VPN or call related apps
- Turn on off on off on off my passcode and face id
- Of course contacting the bank itself. Done everything, reseting token, reactivate ecommerce setting, online banking etc. Still no luck
I’ve been trying to add 2 cards to my ip13 but no luck. Luckily all my family use iphone, I tried on my dad, mother, and siblings’ phone and walla. The card was added without any fuss. I’ve also tried adding it to my ip11 (full reset but logged in with my apple id, same as my new ip13) and guess what, it was also added sucessfully.
From there, Im assuming there might be a problem with my phone, until I further my research and most user who have the problem also encountered from restoring phone.
So recently what I did was restoring back my ip13 to ip11. Full reset my ip13, setup ip13 as new phone, try adding the card, still no luck. Try creating a new account for ip13, another full reset as new fresh phone, still no luck.
But now my ip11 also could not add card. It receives the same problem as my ip13. Restoring back my ip13 and full reset my ip11. But now both my phone have the problem. Im assuming it is a bug from ios restoring??
Have anyone solve this problem before? Mostly I found on google all the questions have no solution till now. Will apple do something about this?
My last choice after this is to go to apple and swap my device if possible.
