It is probably Microsoft installer preventing the install. They want to make sure you are installing it on a single computer.

Unfortunately, there’s no good fix for an internal storage device that’s lacking sufficient capacity for current requirements.
For assistance with installing and configuring Microsoft products, contact the vendor.
Microsoft has discussion forums for Office, as well.
That’s where you’ll find more folks that know these Microsoft apps.
Various references to only installing with the OS over there, too.
