old vintage MacBook Pro from 2015 with recently installed Monterey 12.7.4 I can't access my iMovie without upgrading to OS 13.5 but there's no info at the Apple Store. Can you recommend some links?

Hi, I recently installed Monterey on my 2015 MacBook Pro and now I can't open iMovie. Says I need OS 13.5. How can I get this app? Aloha, Mark

Drag your iMovie application to the trash ,but do not empty the trash just yet.

Open the App Store Application and click on your name at the bottom left hand corner.

This should open up to your Purchased Page where you should see iMovie listed amongst others.

Against this iMovie listing you should see a download symbol, click on this.

You will get a pop up to say that the latest version of iMovie is not available for your OS but will offer you the latest version of iMovie that is compatible with your Monterey.

If successful you can now empty the trash and try the same procedure with any other non working apps.

Yes, the media and project are not part of the Application so doing this should not affect any work you have already done.

When you relaunch the new version of iMovie you may get a message to update your projects but again this should not alter any work you have done. This process just makes your projects compatible with the new version.

Before proceeding can you say what OS you were using before you upgraded to Monterey?
