iMovie for High Sierra 10.13.6

I had iMovie on my old MacBook, but lost it when I replaced my hard drive with an SSD. When I tried to download it again from my purchases in the App Store, I received an error message that iMovie is not compatible with my OS version High Sierra 10.13.6. Is there any way to download an older version of iMovie because High Sierra is the newest OS that will work on my old laptop?

MacBook, macOS 10.13

Not sure what procedure that you used to try to obtain a replacement iMovie download.

Try this procedure: To update/redownload iMovie 10, sign in to the app store and open your purchases folder by clicking on your name at the bottom of the app store side bar. You will see your purchases displayed, including iMovie 10. Redownload/update iMovie from there.

If no luck, you can try restoring iMovie 10 from a backup, such as a Time Machine Backup if you keep one.
