Limit On Importing Photos And Videos To Make A Movie In iMovie

We went on a cross-country trip and we have many photos and videos that I would like to make a movie in iMovie. Is there a limit on how many I can import and use before it gets to be too many? Right now I have about 500 all together but could easily bring it down to the limit, if there is one.

There is no hard and fast limit. The limit will be how long your audience can stay awake!
