Exporting.mp4 in Compressor

I FCP, on Share, I can change from ProRes to “Publish” then select “Computer” and h.264 compression. Out pops a mp4 file. How can I replicate this setting in Compressor? The manual just talks about HTTP streaming.

What are the best export settings for my situation? I know this question has been asked hundreds of times but I need to get an answer from the folks in the know...FCP Forum. My situation. I have been producing an hour long sports program for 32 years. It used to air on local cable now it streams on my website (through Vimeo) and YouTube. I shoot in1080p 60 and edit in 1080p 60. Question 1. Should I edit in 720P 60 since most content on Vimeo and YouTube ends up in 720p anyway? Question 2. Last week's show was 4.6 gigs. That is pretty large for streaming correct? Takes a long time to upload. Question 3. I use the share to Facebook template in FCP. Is there a better way? Maybe change some numbers in Compressor? I really need a protocol that keeps the quality up and the size down. Some ideas from my go to friends on this forum are always appreciated very much. As always, Cheers. Tom

Click the + at the bottom left to add a new preset.

Choose MPEG-4:

Give it a distinctive name.

Then on the right pane adjust the setting to your liking.

When it's done, just use this new setting.
