VP9 codec decoding in Quicktime
How can I get VP9 codec videos to be played in Quicktime.
Apple's ecosystem does not make it friendly to use other software to automatically open VP9 video files from e-mails or downloads.

Depending on the filename extension, you may be able to set a different media player as default.
