icloudhome.exe excessive cpu use on Win10

Exactely the same issue here. When the PC gets out of sleep (in the graph at 21:39:15) the process goes back to using no CPU.

Same issue here - and seems no response either from Apple

I ended uninstalling it as Apple did not have tools to diagnose where the problem was. :-(

Hello. I've noticed the same thing and logged the processes so i found the same results as yours. icloudhome.exe starts using lots of cpu only when the screen is off. Reported the app on the microsoft store. We need to report Apple. It's possible that someone is running a miner from inside Apple and making lots of money out of this.

ok, yeah doing the same, even when I shut down the app processes it still ranks high on Task manager > App History. Not worth it

I'm seeing the same issue. Years ago, I would projects like SETI@Home, and this acts like it. As soon as I actively start using the computer, the CPU drops off. I see the same behavior in the App history tab in Task manager as well. I have had issues in the past with having iCloud for Windows when it came to the iCloud Drive feature. I end up turning that one off, but in this case, it looks like I would have to completely uninstall iCloud to avoid this.
