When I hold the back button of the AirPods for 15 seconds I am met with a flashing amber light alongside 3 firm beeps. My case shows an amber light as I plug in the lighting connector. I've had them on charge overnight and still no difference. They have been working before, yet, this problem arose recently and randomly.

I have the same issue. I lost my original charging case, and from then used the fake one from amazon. Now, I just purchased the original from apple and trying to connect airpods with this new case, but when I try to connect it with iphone, and when i open the lid it is just continuous amber light, after 15 second i can hear 3 beeps and then again continuous amber light. Let me know if you find out the workaround or solution.

I have the genuine charging case, yet it still does the same thing. That is why I am stuck
