Facebook post wont show text but comments will !?!?

I can post a photo , if I put any text above it , it does not show when posted , only the picture. I then CAN comment and the text shows up. In list view I cant even tell I posted other than after a few minutes it will give the time since post ( that you cannot see) ....THEN I was kinda thinking this was a facebook thing , although no one else seems to be having this trouble , I was trying to log into google for a post on reddit and it asks for user name & gets a checkmark , I fogot my password so I clicked that and an email box pops up put in my email hit continue and it goes back to asking for my user name & round & round we go!

I’m having the same problem and so is a friend of mine. We cannot work out what the problem is. Did you find a solution?

I'm having the same problem on my Mac mini M1. I cannot enter a FB post that has only text. If I enter text with a photo, only the photo remains. If I then edit the post, adding the words back in to the top of the post, then save, the result again will not show the words. Captions to individual photos are accessible with those photos, but not the top post. Just started happening in the past week. I'm using Safari 16.6, under MacOS Ventura 13.5.

I'm having the same issue on Chrome. Works on my iPhone but on MacBook Pro all text is deleted when trying to post. Glad to know I'm not alone though LOL.

Now we just need an Applehead genius with the fix! I have not tried Firefox yet but having the same issue on Chrome does not give me a lot of hope. 😔

The app seems to work as it should but I never used the app until this happened , the commercials are enless and the layout is unfamiliar , I just like the site better.

I have NOT found a solution & the weird part is I try posting without the app every day and yesterday it allowed me to post but I forgot part of it so I went back and edited & my edit would not show up so I grabbed the app and finished my post.

Same problem.

On desktop only, and ONLY in my personal account - no issue posting to the page I manage.

Or my professional profile.

I can post on iPhone thru the Facebook app, but haven't tested on iPad yet.

The problem seems to be with Safari. Perhaps a recent update messed it up? I was able to do the regular FB posts, entering text at top, using Firefox.

Just started for me, too. Think I updated recently. But the fact that I CAN post words with picks and links to my other 2 FB profiles is strange...
