Why does my AirPod case light does not turn on

My AirPods and air pod case charge and connect fine, but my air pod case light does not show up when I’m charging it. I tried resetting it, but even the resetting light doesn’t turn on. When I look in settings my AirPod case shows up as charging or charged. Just the light doesnt turn on.
