iPhone 15 Pro and Car Play - doesn't work without USB end on cable

I cannot use CarPlay with my new iPhone 15 Pro because you changed the charging cord and my vehicle is a 2018 and doesn't have the tiny new charging cord port. I tried a USB adapter to plug the Apple cord into and change it into a USB - that didn't work. My truck even though it is a Chevy doesn't connect by Bluetooth for CarPlay. If I knew this was not going to work I NEVER WOULD HAVE BOUGHT the iPhone 15 Pro. I would have stuck it out with my 13 Pro until I could afford a new vehicle and then got a new phone. I don't understand why you don't make an Apple cord with a USB end also so people can use their phones. I have googled how to connect my phone and every method has failed. I am very sad that I can no longer use my phone on my screen of my truck to make texts or have texts read to me in a safer way than holding my phone and reading them, I can no longer use the screen in my truck for navigation either since I cannot use CarPlay. Any tips that will actually work with a 2018 Chevy Silverado LT truck to make the iPhone 15 Pro and my truck work on CarPlay??? Will you ever sell an Apple cable that works with the new tiny charger on the 15 with a USB end???

You can thank the EU for this mess (They forced the USB-C adoption) 😄

I am assume you still have your USB-A to Lightning cable (USB-A is the end that would plug into your car & has a rectangular end. The lightning end would plug into your iPhone) that you originally used in your car. Your best bet would be to buy the USB-C to Lightning Adapter - Apple this is what I now use & it works flawlessly.

All you have to do is plug the lightning end of your old cable that you used to use with your old phone into the one end of the adapter, and plug the USB-C end (The end that you refer to as "Tiny new charging cord port") into your iPhone.

We were having the same issue with our CarPlay connection as well,, we have the iPhone 15pro max ,not knowing the connection issues others were having .We ended up using a regular usb-c cable non lightning that came with a vape, usb plug into the truck and usb-c for the IPhone . The truck we have is a 2019 Chevy Silverado as well. We just tried to see if it might work, with our luck it did!!! Try it and hopefully it works out for anyone out there with apple car play connection issues…like and share to our Apple Family !!
