Incoming call screen freezes sometimes

I am running the latest iOS 17.3.1 on my iPhone 15 plus. When the phone is in pocket and a call is received, the entire screen freezes, even the face id doesn’t work. Only thing that can be done is to double press the power button to turn off the screen (that also hangs up the call) and turn it back on.

It feels like the pocket touch prevention doesn’t reset after I get it out of the pocket. Anyone else have faced the same issue?

I have been experiencing the same issue in my 15 pro max from day one and with all the latest updates it is not fixed yet. there is no fix and apple seems to ignore this issue.

Same here phone screen goes black and you can’t access anything without hanging up the phone! Which if you are on an important phone call and need to check your email or other applications you can’t. And if you hang up you have to start all over again with the reason for the call in the first place. This has been going on for a year or more and nothing….. no fix no suggestions from Apple? Someone is getting complacent? There are other phones out there Apple been with you since the beginning but this is getting real old.
