Spotify won’t open on Apple Watch.

I was struggling with exactly this same issue since

yesterday, updated the app and restarted my iPhone as well as my Apple Watch

with no success.

Today however, I discovered that by going into AppStore on the Apple Watch (not

on iPhone), seek for Spotify, then open it, it will show you an option of

update, click on update, and the problem is solved 😊

Same thing just started happening to me on my series 7 with iOS 9. It’s very frustrating and I don’t know how to fix it.

Same thing is happening to me. This just started happening yesterday afternoon, after my morning run. I use my watch so that I can listen to Spotify on my runs without having to take my phone— I always keep two running-length playlists downloaded onto the watch, and I’ve been using the watch this way for about two years. For context, the watch has always been a little buggy when I try to download new playlists, but I’ve never had the issue come up where the app consistently refuses to open at all. I’ve tried restarting, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, opening and closing the app on my watch and phone, checking Wi-Fi, and resetting the watch from scratch.

Same here. Started sometime yesterday. I tap the app and it just does nothing. At one point it spun around like it was going to open, but mostly just blinks and does nothing. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Did not work. I’ve restarted my watch. Did not work. Please Apple, determine the cause and correct with an update ASAP. Thank you!

my Spotify app on Apple Watch 5 on showed one song. Regardless of the one I selected it also started the player with another song. No audio. Updates installed on mobile and watch. Still this issue. I have it working after deleting the app and installing it again.

regardless the times my Apple Watch has prevented or frustrated my jogging 🏃‍♀️ lately is really undesirable. iOS is a closed system all apps are compatible. How can this issue last for weeks and weeks?

It literally happened to me today on my Series 3. So frustrating.

I neither do on my Apple Watch 4, everything was fine until this last update.😒

Update by going through App Store on Apple Watch. Saw a comment suggesting it & that’s how I finally got mine to work
