Network path exact as it is in Windows?

Hello,

I'm in a network at our office where all workstations are windows based and I'm the only mac user. We work with Maya, Blender and similar types of softwares doing 3D and rendering it on a network farm. All projects are on network storage and path used for access to textures or other files is something like:

//storage_server/Project/

When I connect my mac to server "//storage_server/Project/" then I have access to browse and do file operations but the actual path that the mac is using is:

//Volumes/Project/

That way the already saved projects on windows are searching the textures in //storage_server/Project/ but on my mac such path doesn't exist, it's //Volumes/Projects/ and all textures cannot be found.

The projects contain hundreds of textures and other files that manual relinking is not an option, aslo if I relink the files then the project doesn't work when opened on windows workstation or the render farm.

What is the propper way to connect or map a network drive on my mac so I can have the exact same path that the windows workstations are using? Is there a way to rename "Volumes" to the actual server name or this is system/os fonctionallity that can't be altered?

Thanks!

Niki
