I keep losing my Apple Pencil

There’s got to be a clever way to tag an Apple Pencil. I’m looking for ideas until Apple comes up with a way to track it - I don’t see why they can’t put a tiny microchip in it that works with “Find my IPhone”. I’m about ready to glue a Tile to it! I had it engraved with “I’m lost help me” and my phone number 🙄.

Can a lost Apple Pencil randomly reconnect if it’s just lying nearby? I lost my apple pencil just over a week ago when I was walking between classes at school. I went back to where I heard it drop just a minute later and couldn’t find it so I assumed someone took it. i’ve looked all over the school since then and asked the IT desk and lost-and-found every day and it hasn’t been at either places. I have a clear tip that I bought because my original one broke so I know how to tell it’s mine if I find it. anyway today in class it connected for a second and said 1% battery left then disconnected a second later. this makes me think it was nearby and someone must’ve had it but not connected it to their ipad? i guess i’m just wondering if it’s possible for it to have just randomly connected if it was sitting somewhere unfound or if it had to have either moved by someone or with someone. Lost my Apple 2 generation pencil I lost my pencil which I bought it a while ago but lost it. I was wondering if there is way to track it or see if someone else is using it. Can I see the location where I lose it. Please let me know if there’s any way to find it. On my find my app I see only iPad and phone not pencil.
