How to deauthorize MacBook Pro on Apple Music

I'm trying to authorize my MacBookPro for Music. It tells me that I already have 5 authorized computers and I need to deactivate one. I've tried looking at my account settings page. That page tells me that I only have one authorized computer. It also does not provide me any button or feature to view or deauthorize any computers/devices. I'm truly at a loss.

Reached out to Apple Support. If you do not see the Deauthorize All button in Account Settings via Apple Music or Apple TV, you can go to System Settings > Click on your Apple ID > Click on Media & Purchases > Under Account click on Manage Button. You should now see the Deauthorize All button. Click on Deauthorize All and then Authorize your device via Apple Music or Apple TV.

I ran into the same issue: Why can't I "Deauthorize All" in Music 1.… - Apple Community

For me, it did not work on two Macs. A MacBook Pro and Mac Studio both running a version of the Music app that was 1.14 and higher.

I thankfully had a third Mac running Music version 1.13.x and was able to deauthorize there.

It appears to be a bug. It's also possible that it's an OS version issue. The two devices that were unable to see the Deauthorize All button were running MacOS 14 Sonoma while the third Mac was on MacOS 13.6.4 Ventura.

See this thread: How to Deauthorize Computers on Apple Mus… - Apple Community. I think you may both have run into a bug regarding this process, and I've seen at least one more similar report. Can you access a copy of iTunes, or Music on a different build of macOS? From there you should be able to reset your authorizations and start over. Alternatively reach out to Official Apple Support.
