Junk calendar invite no unsubscribe or delete or unexpected calendar on phone

I’m not using the outlook app, the invite is not in that outlook calendar when I log into outlook on another device, it’s not in my calendar on my Mac. It is just the iPhone calendar that has this event with no way to remove it.

Ok, seemingly found a solution, at least for now. Updating to latest IOS didn’t do it, but 17.3.1 has greatly improved spell check and predictive text for anyone who cares about that.

Uninstalling the email address in iPhone settings, then re adding it cleared it right up. This was after confirming the event was not in the calendar for that email address and was localised to the iPhone only. I’ve also blocked the sending address through outlook, not that that will stop the next wave. (My email address was part of a data breech for a company)

Interesting, I solved this last week and put the solution here but that doesn’t seem to still be here.

The issue was not present in outlook, only on the affected iPhone calendar. I checked the invite was not anywhere else, removed the email from settings - mail - accounts. Then immediately re added it.

That solved the issue for me. Good luck to others affected!

This is the calendar app on my phone, not outlook. It is an outlook address, but the invite isn’t on my outlook account when I go into it.
