iPhone volume goes up for videos

The only time the sound plays aloud automatically on IG is if the mute/unmute switch is set to unmute ringed. ( To further clarify what switch I’m referring to) it’s that little switch that is on the outer edge right above the volume up/down keys.) Try flipping the switch to mute ringer volume and see if that helps. Also if you go into your IG account settings there are settings so it won’t play automatically as you scroll through your feed.

@Lannanhe88 People have already said the phone was set to silent with the volume down. And this is not related to app settings. This is a recent change to what a phone does when clips play on media sites. If I have my volume down and the phone set to silent, then a playing video should have no sound on my phone.

Same for me when scrolling on IG, even when the volume was set to 0 initially.

Also happens when starting a YouTube video.

Not only on IG, you tube. But while phone is set to silent also! Canot find how to disable this. Super annoying.
