Why is Apple taking money out of my checking account?

I do not have any Apple products at all. But for some reason they're taking $10 a month out for whatever. I don't have any need for anything from Apple, no account! So why would you be taking $10 a month out of my checking account? I would like an answer ASAP if possible!

Did you see this on a bank statement, or did you receive an ‘invoice’ through any other communication about this?

If you didn’t purchase anything from Apple, physical or digital, not even a free trial subscription, then consider if your payment method has been compromised and used by someone else, or else that someone is billing you for something unwanted and posing as Apple, trying to stay unnoticed that way. Consider if you have been contacted unsolicited about any kind of service and have given your payment method that way.

Contact your bank or card issuer about unauthorized use, and see if they can block and/or undo the payment(s).

Another senior contributor here found this web article:

I found this Fox Business article on the same subject:

And it happened to us. Apple cannot fix this. Only your bank or card issuer can. If your bank is NOT aware of this decade-old scam, I would consider finding a more up-to-date institution.

Apple is not the only retailer being spoofed for fraudulent purposes. Our bogus charges were allegedly from a major US department store chain, but one with whom we had done no business with the since before the internet was a thing. With 24 hours of our reporting it, our card issuer had the charges identified as bogus, forgave the debt, and issue Mrs AJ a new card number. It was her account ID that had been compromised.
