Microsoft Exchange Password Incorrect

After update to iOS 17.3 iPhone began getting Error message for all Microsoft Exchange accounts on iPhone, “Password Incorrect.”

Entering correct password does not resolve anything. Same Pop-up Error continues. Forever….

Deleted MS account in settings, shutdown iPhone. Added MS Exchange account & Pop-up “PW Incorrect” Error still occurs. Forever…

What is the solution???

Apple Support had no resolution. They claim to have no reports about this issue. They had no idea how to resolve this issue.

*Adding MS account using Outlook setting seems to work, but Outlook does not appear to utilize the SSL account protection Exchange uses (no SSL is unsafe).

Anyone else have this same MS Exchange “Password Incorrect” endless Pop-up?

How do we resolve it?

  1. Is this your corporate iPhone? Then please contact the system administrator of your corporate
  2. If it is your personal device, in that case, do you have any profile installed by your corporate/organisation/enterprise/School Management?
    1. Erase the profile added by you If you have installed a profile on your own --> Install or remove configuration profiles on iPhone - Apple ...
    2. Or please contact the system administrator of the organisation who provided the profile to you

You may have enbled 2-step verification for Outlook --> Manage app passwords for two-step verification
